It is with
complete and utter sadness that we have to announce the passing of

his family and friends as Big Al/ Elvis, succumbed to complications of
Covid-19.

Xavier, Sophia, Adelynne, Bentley, Jetta, Berkeley, numerous nieces,
nephews and cousins and his special fur baby, Mark. He is survived, as
well, by his siblings Charlene, Annette (Kim), Neil, Donald
(Gabrielle), Clarissa (Garry), and Corey (Oona). He also leaves behind
his special hunting buddies Trevor and Romeo, special boating buddies
Shep, Marc and Kim and his special fishing buddy, Jamie. He was
predeceased by his parents Hubert Sr. and Sylvia and his brother

Hubert grew up on
St.Mary’s First Nation where he met and fell in love with
his partner of many years, Maxine. He retired from working tirelessly
as a drug and alcohol counselor and started his many businesses in the
hospitality industry, including Silver’s Limousine and
Wolastoq Boat Tours, which gives you a scenic tour up and down the
beautiful Wolastoq. As a young man, Hubert joined the Canadian Armed
Forces, graduating boot camp in January 1977, becoming an Airborne
Commando in Petawawa the following year. After starting his family, he
devoted his time and effort to coaching his children and many other
children in Hockey, Baseball and Lacrosse. His devotion to seeing
everyone around him doing well shaped who he was every day. He was a
person who saw a problem and always tried to figure out a solution.
Hubert’s love for his family was over the moon. Until we
meet again Dad, Brother, Papa, Uncle, Our Rock. Fly high and watch
over us always.
We would like to
thank all the nurses at DECH that took such amazing care of him. We
would also like to thank his pallbearers Luke, Brent, Gabe, Kristian,
Bill and Mark.
Visitation will be
held at the Maqiyahtimok Community Centre at 420 Highland Avenue on
Thursday, December 16th, 2021. The service will be held at the same
place on Friday, December 17th at 1400. Covid Protocols will
