Howard Robinson 2021

ROBINSON, Howard ~ After a relentless fight with cancer, Howard passed away at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 at the age of 70. Thomas “Howard” Robinson was the beloved husband of Janet (nee Hay). Loving father of Carrie Robinson (Dan Flood), and step father of Marianne Baragar (Mike), and Christine Welton (Martin). Loved and treasured Papa of Billy, Ally, Keegan, Jacob, Wyatt, and Nicole. Dear brother of Margaret Robinson. Pre-deceased by brother Ralph (Marie), and sister Anne. He will be especially missed by Christopher Brady, and many nieces and nephews. Howard was actively involved in the Lindsay and City of Kawartha Lakes Community. He was a long time member of the Kinsmen Club, and through his volunteer hours participating in fundraisers and community service, he developed a strong interest and passion for Municipal politics. He was first elected to Lindsay Council in 1997, and went on to serve 3 terms, and was part of the transition to City of Kawartha Lakes. He was a member of multiple committees within council, as well as being President of Lindsay Non Profit Housing Corp. and Chair of Wilson Estate Advisory Committee. He enjoyed golfing and camping, and his favorite vacation spot was New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
