Herbert (Bert) T. Cunniff
1941-2021
The family sadly announces Bert’s passing at home
on January 15, 2021 after a brief illness.
Bert was born on the Isle of Bute, Scotland on December in
1941, he was the son of the late Herbert & Mary Cunniff
(McCleary). He moved to Canada along with his parents and two brothers
in 1952 settling in Sackville, NS.
Bert was employed by Department of National Defense as a
civilian. Over his long career he worked at several military bases
across Canada and Germany. He retired from the CFB Moncton Supply
Depot in 1996. Bert’s hobbies included golfing, sailing and
spending time with friends and family.
Bert will be sadly missed by wife Mary (Slauenwhite), his
daughters Valerie (Brian) Eagles and Heather (Joey) Cormier of
Moncton, grandchildren Patricia, Shawna, Wally, Matthew and Natalie,
plus great grandchildren, brother Brian (Carole) of Vancouver, nieces
and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother 2nd
Lieutenant Allan Cunniff.
A service will be held in the spring in Sackville
NS.

would be appreciated.
