Obituary of Herb Heidebrecht
Surrounded by his loving family, Herb passed away peacefully at Westview Care Community in Linden, Alberta on December 29, 2021. Herb was born in Linden on August 22, 1941 to Elizabeth and Peter Heidebrecht. He moved to Coaldale at age five where he lived until he graduated High School. After attending Bible School and University, Herb eventually returned to Linden where he was a teacher for the next 24 years. Herb married Linda Koehn on August 28, 1965. They had three sons, Timothy, Patrick and Travis, and six grandchildren. In addition to raising a family, he also coached baseball and hockey, drove ambulance and served on the town council. After several years living in town, the Heidebrecht family moved to an acreage where they started what eventually became the Linden Tree Farm.
Herb leaves to mourn his passing, beloved wife Linda (nee Koehn), their sons Timothy (Bonnie), Patrick (Eleanor) and Travis (Wendy), and grandchildren Tony, Danica, Denon, Emma, Dylan and Aislinn, and three siblings, Rudy Heidebrecht, Harry Heidebrecht and Betty Hall. Herb was predeceased by his parents Peter and Elizabeth Heidebrecht, brothers Victor and John, and sisters Erica, Lillian, Anne and Hilda.
