Obituary of Helen Jane SMALE
Helen Jane Smale (May 9, 1925- January 5, 2021)
Peacefully at home in Victoria, British Columbia on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 Helen Smale passed away at the age of 95.
Daughter of the late Henry and Pearl Smale of Belleville, Ontario. Predeceased by her siblings Bill (Velma), John (Rose), Shirley, niece Cynthia, and grandson Eric. Survived by her sisters Audrey Donovan and Barbara Living.
Loving mother of Linda Harold, Sharon (Ted) Harold, Debby Harold, Heather (Tom) Land. Helen will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Crystal, Adam, Daniel, Leila, Shannon, John Ryan, and great-grandchildren Ella, Blake, Emma, and Gwenna. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all her nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
A graduate of Loyalist College, President of the Ladies Auxiliary, Army and Navy Air Force Veterans Club, and a supportive parishioner of Christ Church Belleville, Helen will also be remembered for her love of curling, golfing, skating, camping, knitting, and dancing.
She truly had a zest for life and those who had the pleasure of knowing her will remember her as a fun-loving, caring and loyal friend. Resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord and reunited with her late partner Ray Petes.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the service and interment will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
