The family of Helen SHWEDYK (Bertrand) is heartbroken to announce her peaceful passing on December 15, 2021, at the age of 95. Wife of the late Steve Shwedyk (2009). Loving mom to Patricia Henderson, Larry Shwedyk (Brenda), Georgette Bryson (Derek) and Sandy Shwedyk (Steve). Adored and always entertaining Grandma/Nanny to Stephen, Adam (Mary), Kelly and Jessica (Ryan). Helen was a long-time member of The Hamilton Downtown YWCA, as well as a member of The Geritol Follies and many other dance groups. Our family is forever grateful to Family Dr. Rick Black for his care and kindness. Words also do not express our thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at The Wellington Retirement Home, which was Mom’s residence for the last 5 years. To honour Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A family service to reunite Mom and Dad will be held at a later date.
