Helen’s Obituary
Nickerson, Helen Marie – 74, of The Hawk, passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Monday, November 15, 2021. Born on August 15, 1947 she was a daughter of Louise and the late Edward Nickerson. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Helen loved cooking for family and friends and will be fondly remembered as the best cook ever. She liked reading and sitting in her rocking chair looking at the deer in the back yard. Helen always looked forward to her drives around the Hawk and to Black Point looking for deer. She was the kindest person and would give anyone the shirt off her back. Helen is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Frederick; sons, Wayne (Brenda) and Clifford (Mary); daughter, Connie (Troy); mother, Louise; grandchildren, Laura, Emily and Nathan; sisters, Gladys, Edna (Dean) and Paulette; brothers, Bruce (Debbie), Calvin (Dale) and Alpheus (Loretta); sister-in-law, Blanche; several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her father, Edward and brother, Blanchard. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, from 6-8 pm at the H.M. Huskilsons Funeral Home, Barrington. Due to Covid 19 restrictions proof of vaccination will be required to attend the visitation. A private family service will be held on Friday, November 19, at 2:00 pm. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend. Memorial donations may be made to the Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund or any charity of choice.
