Helen was a dedicated RPN at Sunset Haven until she was injured in the workplace. Her dedication to her residence and co-workers was extraordinary. She would always make chocolate, homemade peanut brittle and bring bags of hotballs for the staff. She was the treat lady! Helen helped organize the yearly Christmas party for the staff and canvassed the community for donations so everyone won a prize. She was known for her special notes and cards that she would thoughtfully write everyone for special events or just because, which would always bring many smiles. Helen was known to her family and friends for her tasty holiday meals or party eats. She made the best baked beans and lasagna which was enjoyed by all! Helen shared many a theme park trips with her grandchildren and loved her roller coaster rides. Helen reveled in her constant rivalry with her son-in-law over her Nascar driver being better than his!
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses on the 6th floor of the Welland Hospital for their care and compassion.
