Krause, Heinz Georg
Age 92, of Kitchener, Ontario went to be with his Lord and Saviour on October 26, 2021. Heinz was one of five children born to Maria and Albert Krause in the former east Prussia. He married the love of his life Frieda (Neumann) in Schwelm, Germany and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage. They immigrated to Canada in 1959, settling in Kitchener, Ontario where Heinz built a masonry business and together, they created a beautiful family: Peter (Darlene), Harry (Maureen), Martin (Debora), Hannah (Martin), Christine (Glen) and David (Louise), 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Heinz worked tirelessly throughout his life. He demonstrated a love of God, dedication to a life of service, and deep devotion to his wife and extended family. His extensive network of friends will remember Heinz for his integrity, his ability to encourage everyone he met, his dry sense of humour, his love of singing and the outdoors.
The family is grateful for the compassionate care he received at Hospice Waterloo Region, Grand River Hospital and Chartwell Westmount.
Heinz’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Masks are mandatory to attend the visitation and you must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467. A private funeral service will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. Heinz’s service will be live streamed via the following link www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Waterloo Region or the Alzheimer Society of Canada in recognition of Frieda.
