Hector Joseph Audette
1958-2021
Audette, Hector – passed away peacefully on
Tuesday, August 31st, 2021 at St.
Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia at the age of 63. Loving husband to
Jennifer (nee Young) and cherished father of Philippe (Kaitlynd)
Audette and Dominique Audette. Beloved son of Marguerite (nee Parker)
and predeceased by father Albert Audette. Brother to Lorraine
(Charlie) Caissie, Germaine (Bill) Firth, Fernand (Cindy) Audette,
Michel (Dawn) Audette, Suzanne (Allie) Dunn, Serge Audette, and
Francine (Craig) Murray. Sorely missed by many nieces, nephews,
in-laws and friends.
An engineer in training and temperament, Hector worked at
Suncor for the last 14 years, following 25 years with Dow Chemical. He
enjoyed cycling, playing Zelda, and restoring the beautiful Victorian
home he shared with his family in Petrolia. He will be remembered for
his wit, quiet humour, bright smile, and thoughtfulness towards all he
knew.
Due to COVID 19 concerns, a private family service was held
at Lakeview Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations
may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice – Sarnia, ON,
or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
