Heather Elaine Fryer September 12th 2021

Heather Elaine Fryer (nee Jeffery) is lovingly remembered by family and friends as a caring and compassionate woman who always put others before herself.
Heather died suddenly Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital from a heart attack. She was 72.
Heather was born in Nelson, B.C., attending L.V. Rodgers Secondary School. Although she married and moved to Trail, B.C., she always considered herself from Nelson. The white sand and cool waters of Kootenay Lake were her refuge from the Trail summers.
Heather was a strong advocate for mental health supports in the Trail area. She was a regular patron of the Trail Public Library and the pool at the Trail Aquatic Centre. The centre of her life was her family, her home and her garden.
Heather is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Mae Jeffery, and her eldest brother Michael Jeffery.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Edward Fryer, to whom she was married for 52 years, her son Clint Fryer, and daughter Melissa Fryer, as well as her brothers Murray (Kelly) Jeffery, Stewart (Helene) Jeffery, Robert (Darlene) Jeffery, and Stephen (Janet) Jeffery, all of Kamloops, and sister Susan Jeffery, of Burnaby. She is also survived by dozens of nieces and nephews.
A private service for family and close friends will take place in the spring on the shores of Kootenay Lake. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Diabetes Canada at info@diabetes.ca or 102-1054 Ellis St, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1Z1.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Heather Elaine Fryer September 12th 2021..
