It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one,
Hazel Geraldine Symon (nee Paul), at Lakeside Homes in Gander,
Newfoundland (formally of Staten Island, NY) on December 28, 2021.
Predeceased by her dear parents, James and Edith Paul; brother
Adam Paul; sister Elizabeth Davis; and brother-in-laws Frank
Compitello, Carl Davis and Lloyd Handrigan.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her three sisters, Jane
Compitello, Muriel Best and Rachel Handrigan; Sister-in-law Emma
Paul; Brother-in-law Beaton Best; and her many nieces, nephews and
friends.
Hazel’s family expresses much thanks to the doctors and staff of JPM
Regional Hospital and Lakeside Homes in Gander for the care given to
her in the past year.
At Hazel’s request, cremation will take place. A memorial service and
inurnment will be announced at a later date.
“The many tears you wept wanting to be with your mom and dad
have ceased flowing. You are now in your eternal home with
them. Rest in peace dear sister.”
