Obituary of Harold Joseph Wilkins
Wilkins, Harold “Sonny”
Unexpectedly at LHSC University Hospital on Sunday, January 31, 2021 Harold “Sonny” Wilkins in his 88th year. Loving husband of 65 years of the late Mary Jane (nee Fitzmaurice) Wilkins (August, 2020). Father to five grateful kids, Michael (Cathy), Mary Ann, Susan Kangas, Jane and Paula. Amazing Grandpa of John, Craig (Brooke), and Eric Wilkins and Sarah (Jamie) Innes and proud Papa to Hudson and Mackenzie Innes. Brother-in-law of Brian (Lorraine) Fitzmaurice, the late Paul Fitzmaurice and survived by several cousins. Dad was born and raised in London and retired as Platoon Chief from the London Fire Dept with 35 years of service – a source for many of his great stories. Dad was a longtime standardbred horse owner who loved sports, a good game of euchre, and his daily crossword puzzles. A generous, welcoming, thoughtful and strong man – we couldn’t ask for a better father. Dad enjoyed countless cruises and summers at the cottage with our Mom … and now they’re reunited once again. In lieu of flowers, donations to the London Consistory Club or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
