Harold Patrick Aucoin 2021

Harold Patrick Aucoin was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who passed away November 16, 2021, from an unexpected heart attack. Even though a failing heart took him from us too soon, his heart and love is felt by all who knew him.
Harold was one of the hardest workers around. He was well-known in the community as an accountant. He wore many hats and has helped countless families with their financial affairs. He had a fiery spark and wasn’t afraid to tell it how it is.
Harold was a classical music composer, piano player, scuba diver, and an avid history buff. There wasn’t a topic under the sun that he couldn’t chat about, and you could spend late nights with him talking about everything from modern politics to Roman history. His retirement dream was to write a book on Cheticamp soldiers in the Second World War, and visit Canmore again.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Aucoin; daughters, Megan and Lacey Aucoin; son-in-law, David Erlandson; brothers and sisters, Eli Aucoin, Lucille Aucoin, Yvonne Aucoin and Albert Chiasson; mother-in-law, Marie Smith; and sisters-in-law, Trish Doiron, Betty Pound, Donna Doiron, Della Green and Carol Peters.
He was predeceased by parents, Margaret and Nectaire Aucoin. His father-in-law, Tony Smith followed soon behind him.
A small, private Celebration of Life will be held for family members on Friday, November 26, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
