Surrounded by loving family, at his residence, on April 24, 2021, Harold Leonard Batson passed away at the age of 77. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Barbara (n.Wood), his children Todd (Jodi) and Beth (Mike Kolthoff). Loved grandfather of Amanda Kolthoff (Austin Drury), Cameron Kolthoff, Ayrianna and Tatianna Batson. Harold was born on February 10, 1944, in Fort William (now Thunder Bay); he was the son of Wally and Clara Batson, of Point Edward. He leaves behind his siblings; LeRoy (Kitty) Batson, Shirley (d. Blake) Cochrane, and Ken Batson. Harold was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive and incurable brain cancer, in August, 2020. Harold was kind and generous in nature, he was always reliable, patient, and tolerant. He was a treasured husband, father and grandfather. Harold was an avid fan of the Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. He completed the Bruce Trail (900 Km), weekends 2003-2010, with Lambton Outdoor Club. He will be missed by golfing friends and the couples camping group. Cremation has taken place. Due to covid restrictions, a memorial service to celebrate Harold’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
