Harold Elliott Godding Monday July 19th 2021

Harold passed away peacefully on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the age of 93, after a wonderful life. He is predeceased by his wife of 66 years Shirley (nee Slinn) and son Chris (Debbie Potter Godding). Father of Geoff and Mike (Naomi Sanderson). Grandfather to Toni, Taylor, Mathew, Emma and Zachary.
A private graveside service will be held with a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
Harold is predeceased by his parents Cecil Godding and Constance (Harding) of the UK and brother Reg (Mona), Connie (Allan Simpson), Cliff and Bert (Lilian). Harold leaves behind sister-in-law, Coreen (wife of Cliff) and sister Phil ( Andy Ross) who just celebrated her 98 birthday.
Harold was the former owner of McArthur Plaza Pharmacy and graduate of the University of Toronto (Pharmacy) where he lettered as a member of the university ski team. He was an avid skier, passing on the passion to his sons and grandchildren and skiing his last day with his son Geoff at 85 years young. He was also a passionate Ottawa Rough Riders fan and season ticket holder with his wife Shirley. He loved playing and following golf and thankfully was converted from a Toronto Maple Leaf fan to the Ottawa Senators fan by sons Chris and Geoff. One of his greatest thrills was flying in a helicopter with pilot son, Mike. To say the least, Harold was proud of his family and anyone who visited him at his home could see the “wall of fame” were he had pictures of all the family. His strong singing voice will be missed at the annual Godding family Christmas carol sing that has been going on for over 90 years. With love, your family.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Harold Elliott Godding Monday July 19th 2021..
