Hardy David Smith passed away peacefully in the place that he loved and with his family by his side on March 25, 2021. He was predeceased by his father Henry, mother Anita and sister Judy. Hardy is lovingly remembered by his wife Barbara Smith; daughter Shauna Piluk (Trevor); son Shane Smith (Janette); his granddaughters Brittany, Ashley, Courtney and Leah; his sisters Jackie Simpson (Ron) and Karen Smith (Andy); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Hardy worked in the elevator construction industry for 37 years before retiring in 2002. He made many lasting friendships with his fellow co-workers. His passion was his lakefront property to which he spent his retirement years perfecting its beauty. He could often be found in his favourite spots on the property enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Hardy loved spending time with family and friends and will be missed by many.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
The family thanks everyone for their kind words through this difficult time.
