Hal Edward HE Sherrod Sr October 25 1929 December 2 2021

Hal Edward “H.E” Sherrod, Sr.-age 92 of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be greatly missed. Hal retired from the US Postal Service and the Military. He attended Timothy Street Baptist Church.
Survived by his wife, Velma Sherrod; sons, Hal (Becky) Sherrod, Jr., Gary (Mary) Sherrod; daughter, Lola (David) McGill; grandchildren, Josh Sherrod, Kenny Sherrod, Casey Sherrod, Carrie Mitchell, and Lucas McGill; and 9 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Lona Sherrod; brothers, Dan, Fred, and Herbert Jr. Sherrod; sisters, Peggy Perry, and Joan Johnson; father and mother in law, John and Lola Ruggles.
Family will receive friends 5:30-6:30pm Monday, December 6 at Bridges Funeral Home, with service to follow at 6:30pm with Pastor Tim Dennis officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45am Tuesday, December 7 at Caledonia Cemetery, for 11:00am graveside service and interment.
