Obituary of Guy Harvey
Harvey, Guy – 85 of Kennetcook, passed away peacefully on January 29th,2021 in The Mira Nursing Home, Truro. Born May 8th,1935 in Noel Road, Guy was the eldest son of the late Lalia and Clyde Harvey.
Guy was a hard worker, devoting his entire working life following his compassion for carpentry. He continued to amuse the staff at The Mira, involving them with paperwork and organization of jobs that he contracted on a day-to-day basis. He enjoyed jamborees, visitors, and family gatherings, especially when his prize great grandchildren were present.
Besides his parents, Guy is predeceased by his wife Myrna and brother Fred.
Guy is survived by sons Kevin (Susan), Vaughn (Joanne) and Travis (Marla); eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021 at 4 pm in the St. James Presbyterian Cemetery, White Settlement Road, Rev. Mike Poworoznyk officiating. Covid-19 regulations will apply, please social distance and stay within your bubble. Please bring a chair if you wish to be seated.
Donations in memory of Guy may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada or to the St. James Presbyterian Cemetery c/o Goldie White, White Settlement Road, Noel Road, Hants Co., NS BON 1P0.
