Obituary of Gregory Scott Hover
Hover, Gregory
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the age of 56. Beloved husband and best friend to Tracy (nee Wilkes). Was preceded in death by his mother Diane.
Brother to Mike (Jenn) Hover, Dan (Lisa) Hover, Rob (Brandy) Hover, Patrick (Tanya) Wilkes and Rick Hover. Proud Uncle to Johnnie, Braydan, Zach, Kaitlyn, Jesse, Tatum, Sara and Addison.
Greg will be deeply missed by David and Elaine, his many family and friends and most of all by his beautiful girl Joon Bug. Always up for an adventure, Greg held many jobs over the years such as cab driver, trucker, concrete finisher, brick layer, land scape designer, business owner and salesman (this includes his first ever sales job at Brant Park selling fire wood to campers). He loved life and loved to wake up everyday with a smile. Although he loved his Nascar, football (Dolphins) and hockey (Flyers), his real passion was golf and he took every opportunity to play and improve his game. He loved to mentor and teach. Spending time with his nieces and nephews was one of his greatest joys. He also loved his many dogs. Pure-bred or rescue did not matter. He gave an amazing home to all of them. He was a man who loved to talk, meet all kinds of people, travel, had a love for life and a passion for learning. He could “MacGyver” his way out of anything.
The past few months he was a caregiver to his father-in-law. A job he assumed proudly without complaint. He was a man who brought joy to those who knew him and always tried to lift people up. Because of him we have many wonderful stories and memories that will keep him in our hearts forever. At Greg’s request there will be no service at this time. The family will plan a celebration of food and drink at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. Brantford, 519-752-4331. In lieu of flowers, Greg would appreciate donations be made to the Brant County SPCA or the Lincoln County Humane Society. Special thanks to the staff at University Hospital in London.
A tree will be planted in memory of Greg in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gregory
