Mr. Gregory Joseph Donovan, husband of the late Jean Julia (O’Donnell) Donovan of Route 108 Lower Derby, NB, passed away Thursday morning May 20, 2021 at his late residence, at the age of 79.
Born in Renous NB, he was the son of the late George and Frances (Thompson) Donovan. He was a retired welder for Repap, member of St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, former member of Our Lady of Good Council Roman Catholic Church, Millerton, member of Sutton Brook Singers, member of Father Barry Council 7481, Renous, member Bishop James Rogers Assembly Miramichi.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Donovan of Millerton and Lexie Shaddick (Jason) of Miramichi, two sons, Ian Donovan at home and Greg Donovan (Lou-Anne) of Renous, one sister Rita Manderville (Late Carman) of Renous and one grandson Evan Shaddick.
Besides his parents, and his wife Jean, he was predeceased by one brother Stephen Donovan, five sisters, Marcella Donahue, Bernadine Underhill, Katherine Whalen, Betty Hogan and Gladys Barrieau.
Mr. Gregory Joseph Donovan is resting at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, with a public visitation on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A private Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 2 p.m. at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Claude Daigle and Father Vincent Donovan officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Good Council Roman Catholic Cemetery, Millerton.
In memory of Gregory donations to NB Kidney Foundation or NB Extra Mural would be appreciated by the family.
