Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Lion’s Manor, Placentia on January 16, 2021 surrounded by family that loved him dearly, Gregory Joseph Veitch of Holyrood, age 71. Predeceased by parents Gregory and Josephine Veitch, brother Michael, sister Anita, brother-in-law John Ryan; sisters-in-law Kathy Veitch and Barbara Veitch; nephew Kevin Veitch; mother-in-law Vera Nugent, father-in-law Arthur Nugent and sister-in-law Carmel Nugent. Leaving to mourn the love of his life, his wife of 49 years Joan; daughters: Lori, Karen Winsor (Steve) and Courtney; and son Brian; brothers: William, Jerome, John (Trudy), Patrick (Rose); and sister Marie Mazure (Ron). Also, left to mourn grandchildren Aiden, Nolan, Martin, John and Olivia; as well as his many other family, in-laws and friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Susan Dalton, Dr. Wanda Whitty, and the extraordinary nurses and staff of Lions Manor for their wonderful compassion and care.
Our father was a hardworking, loving and gentle man. He was loved and will be missed by many. He is now at peace and can enjoy his memories once more.
Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Cremation has taken place. Public visitation in keeping with COVID 19 regulations will take place on Monday, January 18th from 2:00 – 5:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 19th, 2021 at 10:30 am from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood.
