Gregory Duke Paul Whalen
1976-2021
Gregory Whalen, 44, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on
Saturday, March 13th, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his
favourite Monkey collection.
Gregory was born in Gaspe, Quebec, the son of the late Paul
Whalen and Sheila Annett of Hopewell Hill,
NB.
Gregory lived a life of adventure; he was a wanderer and
loved to travel and explore. At the end of the day, it was
the little things that made Greg happy, like his Monkey Collection,
going thrift shopping, going for walks, playing XBOX with
his brother, Troy, talking to his sisters, or calling his
mom, Sheila to check in. His brightest days came from his two
children, Dominic and Aiyanna, they were his everything.
“Family is not an important thing, it’s
everything.”
He will be deeply missed by his loving mother, Sheila
Annett of Hopewell Hill; his cherished children, Dominic &
Aiyanna of Moncton; sisters, Tammy Gauvin (Dennis) of Riverview and,
Carrie Ann Beaudoin (Joey) of Edmonton, Alberta; brother, Troy Whalen
(Stephanie) of Moncton; and by his treasured nephews and nieces, David
John, Brandon, Alayna, Ceara, Lilly, Lukas, and Melody; by his uncles
and aunts, especially his Aunt Bonnie Ganong (Harvey) and Cousin Jamie
who were a second mom, dad, and brother to him. He will also be missed
by all his cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Garnet and
Myra (Johnson) Annett; his paternal grandparents, William and Abigail
Whalen; his father Paul Whalen; uncles, Roderick, Hank, & Hal;
and by his special nephew, Nathan, otherwise known as Nate the
Great.
A Private Family Visitation will be held at the Albert
County Funeral Home.
In memory of Gregory, donations to the Canadian Mental
Health Association would be greatly appreciated by the
family.
