Greg Karges Wednesday February 17th 2021

Gregory John Karges of Waterloo, passed away as a result of a heart attack in his home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
He was born on June 5, 1978, the cherished son of Paul and Cathy (Nichol) Karges of Gowanstown and loved brother of Jane and John Madden of Ajax, and Lauren Karges and her fiancé Sean Nickel of Waterloo. Uncle to Anna, Eve and Brooke Madden.
Greg will be remembered by his aunts and uncles, Susan & Jim Conners, Marilyn Nichol, Peter & Mary Anne Nichol, Ted Torreiter and Lloyd Karges and his many cousins.
Predeceased by his aunt Marie Torreiter and his uncle George Nichol, and his grandparents Mervyn & Vietta Karges and Geordie and Ruth Nichol.
Greg possessed a kind and generous heart. He was an avid reader as a young child and his computer skills were exceptional and intuitive.
Greg struggled with mental illness throughout his adult life. He challenged many roadblocks however always persevered with the support of his family and never gave up.
A private family funeral service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 with Rev. Don McCallum officiating.
Spring internment in Zion United Church Cemetery, Wallace Township.
Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Center for Addiction and Mental Health in Greg’s memory would be appreciated.
