GRANT Hugh 1927 2021

GRANT, Hugh
1927 – 2021
We would like to announce the passing of our father, Hugh Gant at the age of 93. Dad left behind his four children, Wendy (Michael Berk), St. Louis, Missouri; Duncan (Diane Costerton), Fernie, BC, Ginny (Peter Monod), Banff, AB, and Vicki, (George Kemp), New Liskeard, ON. He was predeceased by his spouse, Mary, and two older brothers, Morgan and Stewart.
Dad spent his working years at New Liskeard Construction. His circle of friends was made through hockey, curling, and in later years, golf.
It was while Dad was at Pickering College that he became interested in woodworking. Today our homes hold many of his pieces from grandfather clocks, rocking chairs, dressers, and coffee tables to name a few. His greatest legacy to us is the cottage he enlarged for his growing family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren on Lake Temagami.
At his home in Sun City, Arizona, he found a passion for making jewelry in silver and gold with gems. We are proud to wear those.
In later years, Dad gave his time to the Canadian Cancer Society driving patients to North Bay and Sudbury as well as to the Presbyterian Church.
If you choose to do so, donations would be appreciated to the Temiskaming Hospital Foundation for the Care Close to Home campaign (www.temiskaminghospitalfoundation.org/donate ) and to The Temiskaming Foundation ( temiskamingfoundation.ca/ ).

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of GRANT Hugh 1927 2021..
