Grace Isabelle Bissonnette
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce after a short illness, the passing of Grace Isabelle Bissonnette on January 16, 2021 in her 95th year. She will be lovingly remembered by husband and forever best friend of 67 years of marriage, Dr. Peter Bissonnette. Mother to Bill (Dianne), Bob (Diana), Doug (Jane) and Donald (Dawn). Her pride and joy were her grandchildren Janine (Peder) Madsen, Michael (Roberta) Bissonnette, Lauren (Cody) Drzewiecki and Logan Bissonnette and she was thrilled when presented with 5 great-grandsons, Wesley, Jackson, Hunter, Archer and Malcolm and a great-granddaughter due this February.
Grace chose service to her family and community. She has been a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star for over 70 years and an avid member for 38 years with the St. Davids and District Lioness Club holding several board positions. She is a Past MDA Lioness President and has been awarded the Judge Brian Stephenson Fellowship, the Helen Keller Fellowship and a Lions
International President’s certificate of appreciation. Her Lioness family honoured her with an A-2 Lioness Life Membership for her years of continued and faithful service to those in need.
A Celebration of Grace’s life will be held at the St Davids Lions Club hall when we all can meet together.
