Grace Noble (nee Kochan) passed away peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, 5 December, 2021 at the Cudworth Nursing Home at the age of 73 years. Grace (Gracie to many) is survived by her husband Bill, sister Pat (Richard), niece Zanette (Doug, Alex, Allysa, Lukas, Jessica, Sydney, Martina) and niece Aleda (Corey, Sarah, Alyssa). Grace was predeceased by her parents Fred and Tina and her sister Linda.
Grace was born 26 April, 1948 in Prince Albert and grew up on the family farm near Wakaw. After studying Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan, Grace Kochan, RN joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1969. Lieutenant, later Captain, Kochan served in military hospitals in Cold Lake AB, Ottawa ON, and Baden Germany. Grace served with distinction – she was good at her job and was a recognized leader.
Grace met Bill on the first day of her first posting at Cold Lake and they were married in 1975. Grace left the Air Force in 1976 and she and Bill lived in Eglin Air Force Base Florida, Greenwood NS and Ottawa before retiring just across from Wakaw Lake. Grace was many things – dedicated professional, talented artist, cheerful gardener, loving daughter, sister and aunt, but most of all she was Bill’s constant companion and rock. She had a way of making everyone feel special. Grace was a special lady. We miss her.
Donations in memory of Grace can be sent to the Cudworth Nursing Home.
