GOURLIE, John Albert “Jack”

1936-2021
Jack passed away peacefully on November 3, 2021, at age 85. Born in Cranbrook, BC, he lived in Lumberton, BC before the family moved to Kelowna, BC in 1940. He attended Kelowna Secondary School. After graduating in 1955, Jack started work with the Okanagan Telephone Company and continued in that career, until he retired from BCTel in 1993. In retirement, he enjoyed volunteering with the Kelowna Warriors Lacrosse Club. Jack was predeceased by his parents Francis James and Susannah (née Marley) and his siblings Myrtle, Frank, Russell, Mary Ellen, Clarence and Violet. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon; children Michael, Diane and Heather; granddaughter Alli; and many extended family members. The family wishes to thank Dr. Susan Erasmus and the staff at Sun Pointe Village for their compassionate care. No service at his request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Kelowna Branch of the SPCA.
