Obituary of Gordon Coyle
COYLE: Gordon Claire –
A resident of Chatham, Gord Coyle passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday, February 25, 2021 in his 99th year.
Born in Chatham, Gord was the son of the late Barnaby and Gertrude (Watson) Coyle.
Beloved husband of 72 years to Helen (nee Campbell).
Loving father to Diane Ronson (David) of Merlin, Joyce Corriveau (Jim) of Chatham, Wesley Coyle of BC and Ken Coyle of BC.
Proud Grandpa to 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his brother Robert (2012).
Brother-in-law to Ruby Coyle, Maxine Paxton (Don), Joanne Campbell and Gayle Campbell (Jim Brodie).
Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Gord worked as a mechanic all of his life. He loved to keep busy and could always be found doing something with his hands. He loved tinkering and fixing things for family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be Live-streamed at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 27, 2021. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated that all attendees wear a mask.
