Obituary of Gordon Baird
Gordon Wesley Baird Sr., formerly of Kinburn passed away peacefully in his sleep at The Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior Sunday morning May 2, 2021, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 64 years to Edna (Munro). He was preceded by his parents Edwin and Ethel (McConnell) and sisters Kathleen, Phyllis, Lois, and brother Oren. Dearly loved father of Gord, Janet (John Radisch), and Harold (Ann). Proud grandfather of Jason, Cory (Marhlee), Ben (Katie), Johanna, David (Erika), Robert, and Thomas (Meaghan). Papa Gordon to great-grandchildren Jacob, Alex, Felix, Sawyer, Clayton, and Emily. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Island View Retirement Suites for their care and support during this past year. Gordon’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. Private family visitation. Funeral Service will be held Thursday May 6, 2021 in the Boyce Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment Diamond Cemetery, Kinburn. The Funeral service will be webcast live for extended family and friends. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Grove Redevelopment Fund or the Diamond Cemetery Fund.
