It is with deep sorrow, that we announce the passing of our cherished and revered relative, Gordon Ernest Weston, 72, of Calgary, Alberta on November 20/2021. Born on January 10, 1949.
Gordon was a gentle soul with a great many attributes. Among his greatest qualities, Gordon was known for his infectious and heart-warming sense of humour. An amazing and prolific repertoire of dad jokes were memorable facets of his personality. In his lifetime, Gordon accomplished great feats, including raising innumerable amounts of money for various charities. Gordon was recognized and endowed with many awards, in recognition of his work with local charities for more than 30 years. A deep thinker and analyzer of life and a fantastic cook.
Amidst the many achievements Gordon attained, he was very proud of his service in the Canadian Forces as a young man. Gordon will be recalled by friends and family as a passionate and caring soul above all. His love of history and a never-ending search of epistemology will be defining characteristics of Gordon’s life. Gordon will be dearly missed and forever loved.
Gordon was pre-deceased by his parents Gordon W. Weston and Eleanor E. Weston. Gordon is survived by his sisters Dale Weston and Patricia Murphy.
Gordon is survived by his only child, Gordon K. K. Weston. Gordon is also survived by his three granddaughters, Caley D. Weston, Sarah N. Weston, and Mia G. Weston.
Among his closest and dearest friends, Gordon is also survived by Linda Simmelink.
