Gordon Dale Myrah 1932 –

Deceased Feb 11, 2021
It is with great sadness that I let you know of the passing of Gordon Dale Myrah at Ridgeview Lodge in Kamloops, BC.
Dale was born in Holdfast Sask., Feb 14, 1932 to Fred and Lynette Myrah. In his early teens, the family moved to Regina. At the age of 18, he joined the Navy, serving in Canada, USA and England. He met, through his cousin, Joan Morrow who was in nursing training at Regina General. They married in July 1954 and moved to Victoria, BC. After the birth of their daughter, Susan (Ball) he transferred to serve with the Air Force. His first station was in New Brunswick where their son, David was born. The family was later transferred to France, Winnipeg, Flin Flon and then back to Winnipeg where he retired from the service. His last career move was with Felix Services as a Radar Technician. He had many stories that he told of his adventures in “The High Arctic”.
In the late 80’s, they bought their dream home in Armstrong, BC and he became an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and carpentry.
Because of his deteriorating health, their last move was to Kamloops, BC to be closer to family. He will be sadly missed by his loved ones.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the care and kindness, he received from the staff at Ridgeview Lodge.
