CAMPBELL, Glenda Margaret – 76,
of Port Hood, Inverness Co., passed away peacefully, surrounded by
family on Saturday, October 30th, 2021 in the Inverness Consolidated
Memorial Hospital. Born on July 16, 1945, in Kirkland Lake, ON, she
was the daughter of the late Daniel and Jean (Hawley) Campbell. Sister
of the late Stan Campbell.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Roberta Campbell (Hood)
and nieces, Kim Wallace (Campbell) and Erin Campbell (Mark Bevan) and
nephew, Scott Auger. Very loving Great Aunt to Cody (Jenn) MacDonald,
Kayla MacDonald and Synders (Josh) Paige. Honorary “Grandma”
to Madison, Brooklyn, Micah, Macie and Riley of PEI, and Ayrya of
Cowansville, QC. As well as so many cousins far and wide. Glenda was
loved and adored by everyone that knew her. She devoted her life to
family, friends and her community of Port Hood.
The family wants to extend a very special thank you to two
very special “Angels”, Eloise MacIsaac of Port Hood
and Claire Beaton of Mabou, your kindness and endless
devotion to always be there to help Glenda no matter what time of
the day or night and spent so much time by her side during
all her hospital stays. Glenda appreciated your endless
support and friendship, she could not have done this without
your presence and grand friendship. We are so very grateful
to both of you.
Visitation will be in the Port Hood and Area Resting Place on
Monday November 1st from 4 to 9p.m. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday
November 2nd, at 11a.m. from St. Peters Roman Catholic Church in Port
Hood. Please note in keeping with COVID-19 guidelines,
all those attending the visitation and funeral mass will be required
to show proof of vaccination as well as photo ID before
entering.
In memory of Glenda, donations can be made to the Inverness
Palliative Care Unit and St. Peters Parish Cemetery Fund,
Port Hood and Area Resting Place or to a charity of your
choice.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis
Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be

  1. I am so sorry to hear of Glenda’s passing. She and my father, Byran Gardiner (cousin Hawley), were always extremely close. I remember all of her visits to Ontario and the wonderful memories they would share of growing up. She will be missed.
