Obituary for Glen Spinks
Robert “Glen” Spinks, 76 years, of Sarnia and formerly of Petrolia passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. Glen was the loving husband of 57 years to Shirley (nee Whitlock). He will be missed by his sons Allen (Laura) and Bob (Kathy), his granddaughter Shana (Eric) Flick, and his great grandson Noah and great granddaughter coming in December. Glen was predeceased by his parents the late Cliff (2004) and Joyce (Christie)(2021) Spinks and his sister Penny (the late Jack) Wallace. He will be missed by his siblings Goldie Spinks, Diane (the late Ron) Farr, and Jim (Sandi) Spinks many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his brother-in-law David (Daphne), his sister-in-law Colleen, and his long time friends Rick Boerkemp and Brenda Roby and family. He will also be missed by his many friends at Paradise Valley Campground. Glen was a 49 year member of the Boilermakers Local 128 and was a 50 year Royal Canadian Legion Br. 176 in Forest where he was the Poppy chairmen.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia to attend please register at signup.com/go/gVLFbFq.
