Obituary of Giuseppina Chiaramonte
Giuseppina “Pina” Chiaramonte (nee DiPietro)
After 85 years of life dedicated to passionately caring for those she loved, on September 12th, 2021, in the quiet hours of the early morning at home with loving family by her side, Pina took her final breath on earth. Now reunited with devoted husband Salvatore of 49 years, Pina is profoundly missed and fondly remembered by her children Ross (Dianne), Joe (Nancy), Rose Turner (Tom), and Antonina Tress (Bill); grandchildren Ross Jr. (Becky), Jessica, Thomas (Ashley), Celeste (Ashley), Daniel, Tara, Sierra, and Emily; and great-grandchildren Dominic, Isaac, and Chase. Lovingly called “Nonna” by many others who knew her kind and generous heart. Predeceased by parents Antonina and Giuseppe DiPietro, brother Sebastian DiPietro, and in-laws Rosa and Rosario Chiaramonte. Survived by brother Sal DiPietro, sister Angela Campagnaro, and many nieces and nephews here and in Sicily.
As per Pina’s wishes, arrangements are entrusted to George Darte Funeral Home, with a funeral mass to take place at St. Alfred’s Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Friday, September 17th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation, OUTniagara, or your charity of choice.
All guests attending the funeral must wear a mask. Funeral capacity is limited to 330 guests. All who wish to attend are asked to call the funeral home to RSVP.
