Merucci, Giovanni “John”
Surrounded by his family at home on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 Giovanni Merucci in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Antonia (1991). Cherished and loving father of Mirella McWaid, Maria Merucci and Angela Deborda. Proud Nonno of Tonia Marie McWaid, late Raymond Joseph McWaid, Anthony McWaid, Alexandria Taylor DaSilva, Brittney Deborba, and Marco Deborba. Dear brother of Domenica Merucci (late Vincenzo), Antonio Merrucci (Ida), Giovanni Battista Merucci (Maria) and Fortunato Merucci (Anna). Zio John will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, April 15th from 2-2:30, 2:45 – 3:15 and 3:30 – 4:00. Funeral Mass wil be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Friday morning, April 16th at 10 o’clock. Due to Covid-19 restrictions as per the Bereavement Authority of Ontario a limited number of people are able to attend. Please email donohue@donohuefuneralhome.ca or call 519 434-2708 between 9am and 5pm) to secure a seat for a visitation period and/or Mass. Please include your phone number. Masks are mandatory. Private entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
