In Loving Memory of
Giles Glen Bondy
February 11, 1993 – November 21, 2021
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Giles Glen Bondy on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the age of 28 years old.
Beloved son of Janet (nee Roy) and Glen Bondy.
Dear brother of
Wendell and Rosealee Bondy, both of Wikwemikong
and Caitlin Jacko of Sault Ste. Marie, On.
Dear uncle to Tattianna Bondy, and Sage, Shaun and Sierra Slipperjack.
Dear godson to
Kelly Roy and Adolphus (Duffy) Wemigwans.
Grandson of
Beatrice Bondy and David Bondy (predeceased),
Rosemary (nee Mishibinijima)
and John Roy (both predeceased).
Also lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles,
cousins and friends.
In his younger years in Wiikwemkoong he loved playing hockey on the ice and backyard, and he really appreciated his native language where he advanced to the competition at the Native Language Conference at Kewadin, SSM. Then in his older years he loved weight lifting, boxing, staying in shape and challenging himself in those areas but also kept on with learning his native language whenever he could.
Giles’ life was living independently in the city of North Bay – Gateway to the North; where he went to do his studies at Canadore College in the field of Engineering and graduated in 2015; Civil Engineering Technician Diploma. He later went on to work for the city of downtown North Bay in landscaping and with flower gardens but his intention and dream was to return to school at university to further his education.
A wake service will be held at Buzwah’s St. Ignatius Church on Sunday, November 28
starting at 5pm for family and at 6pm for community.
Funeral will be on Tuesday, November 30 @ 11am
Interment will be at the Buzwah cemetery.
