HURLEY, Gilda Teresa (nee Wannop) (40+ year volunteer with the Markham Fair and Home Craft President)
Peacefully with her family by her side at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Palliative Care Unit at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Trevor Hurley for 51 years. Devoted and loving mother of Andrea Fisher. Cherished grandmother of Meghan, A.J. and Kaylynn. Dear sister of Donna Roberts, Rick Wannop and his wife Susan, Cindy Derynck and her husband the late Brian, John Wannop and his wife Jackie, Susanne Reesor and her husband Greg, Christine Haddock and her husband Bill, and Dave Wannop and his wife Gillian. Gilda will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, her many friends and all who knew her. Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 PM. Covid-19 restrictions are in place and face coverings are mandatory. In memory of Gilda, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Peterborough Humane Society, Canadian Cancer Society or the MS Society would be appreciated by the family.
