The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Gilbert Ferguson on Monday November 22, 2021 at the age of 70.
Predeceased by his parents Evelyn and Berthélimie.
Dear Dad of Louise Lévesque (Todd), Pierre (Tammy Moreau), Luc (Lianne Berthiaume), Keith (Erin Mavec), and Chantalle Sirois (Nicholas Nowlan). Cherished Pepere of Jonathan (Casey), Joshua, Cynthia Lévesque (Matt Peddie), Dyllan, Alysha, Chloe, Carson, Leo and Lux Ferguson, Brooke, Miah, Finn, Adam Trépanier, Centessa, Tony, Andrew, and Izabella Greco. Great-grandfather of Payton, Ivory Rose, Olivia, Angèle, Lucas, and Damien.
He is also survived by the mother of his children Rita Ferguson, his sister Gert (late Ron Boisvert), his brothers Yvon (Anita), Bob (Pauline), Rick (Lorraine), Ron (JoAnne), and Steve (Cathy).
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his many friends, his nieces and nephews, as well as his extended family members.
He is also predeceased by his siblings Kit, Stella, Lilly, Vic, Claude and Rolly.
Gil had a zest for life and enjoyed it to its fullest. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a passion and a voice for music and loved to entertain. He was a caring, compassionate soul, helping anyone in need. He had the ability to entertain any child playing and singing with his guitar, his jokes, and his silly faces. He will be forever missed. Go Leafs Go!
A private family Celebration of Life will be held. Remembrance donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
