It is with deep sorrow and sadness of heart that the family of Gerald Kinslow announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the age of 90, surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves to mourn, his wife of 64 years, Marina Kinslow (nee Lovell), daughters Elaine Cadwell (Lloyd), Darlene Kinslow, Gerri-Lynn Hillier (Andy), grandchildren: Erika Cadwell, Robyn Rickert (Adam), Aprille Hillier, Matthew Bourgeois (Alicia) and Hilary Bourgeois (Stephen Gardiner) and their father, Paul Bourgeois, great grandchildren: Emily Rickert, Daniel Rickert, Kai Bourgeois and Caden Bourgeois, in-laws: Rosie Lovell, Hannah Park, Molly Brake, Patricia Lovell, Samuel Lovell (Katherine), Josephine Rideout, Richard Lovell (Inez), as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Ivy Kinslow (nee Caines), brothers Cecil Kinslow (Clara) and Thomas Kinslow (Nora), sister Hilda Cossar (Thomas), in-laws Joseph and Sarah Elizabeth Lovell, Esau Lovell, William Park, Maurice Lovell (Florence), Albert Lovell (Angie), Greta Lovell, Roland Brake, Sandy Lovell, Florence Brake (George), Nettie Park (Don), Emma Blanchard (Lawrence), William Lovell and Samuel Rideout.
Gerald was a quiet and gentle man, a beautiful soul who loved his family with his whole heart. Everyone would agree that he was a kindhearted, caring and compassionate man.
Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday 2-4& 7-9 p.m. to a maximum of 25 people in the building at one time. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 11 at 2:30 p.m. from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive with The Ven. Edward King officiating to a maximum of 100 people. Face Masks and social distancing required. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to extend their most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Penney, the Renal Dialysis staff, and the Palliative Care staff for their care and compassion.
No matter where I am, your spirit will be beside me. For I know that no matter what, you will always be with me.
