Geraldine M. Lawrence
1943-2021
The death of Geraldine Marie Lawrence of Knoxford occurred on Sunday,
April 25, 2021 at her home. Born April 24, 1943 in Knoxford, she was
the daughter of the late Bedford and Alice Coston (Lawrence). She was
also predeceased by 5 siblings, Shirley Myles (William), Glenwood
Lawrence, Clarence Lawrence, Vinal Lawrence and Edwin Lawrence;
special friend, Louis Beatty.
Geraldine graduated from UNB with a Bachelors of Education and later
from Eastern Pentecostal Bible School. She taught in several schools
from Windsor, Ontario to Perth Andover, New Brunswick. She later
taught English in Hong Kong. Geraldine served as a missionary in
Africa and later returned home to care for her mother after her
father’s death. She was member of the Knoxford Praying Band Church
where she was a member of the choir and a soloist, she also taught
Sunday School and was a member of the Women’s Missionary Society.
Geraldine enjoyed traveling, she made several trips to England and
also a trip to Israel and Bulgaria. She will be missed by all who knew
her.
Geraldine is survived by 7 siblings, Lester Lawrence (Audrey), Louis
Lawrence (Jaci), Wilmot Lawrence (Heather), Eldon Lawrence (Gail),
Marion McLaughlin, Sylvia Underhill (Hardy), and Kathy Phillips
(John); 2 sisters in law, Marilyn Lawrence and Sharon Lawrence; 2
special friends, April Reid and Jeannie Crockwell as well as several
nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 1-2
pm. A private funeral service will be held from the L.R. Giberson
Funeral Chapel. Rev. Andy DeRier will officiate. For those who wish,
the funeral will be live streamed on the L.R. Giberson Funeral
Director’s Facebook page on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm. The
interment will be in the Upper Knoxford Cemetery. Donations made to
