It is with a tear in our eye and a heavy heart that the family of Gerald John Grubb of Walkerton announce his passing on Friday, January 8, 2021 in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Zettler) for 63 years. Loving father of Janice (Wayne) Kieffer, Alan (Jackie) and Gary (Stefanie). Proud grandfather of Nicole, Brittany (Jonathon), Devon (Sarah), Katie (Adam), Megan (Justus), Rachel (Matt) and Everett (Ashley) and his first great-granddaughter Emberly. Dear brother of Betty Schill and Noreen Weber. Also survived by his sister-in-law Geraldine Grubb and many nieces and nephews.
Gerald was predeceased by his sister Marie (Alex) Diebolt; brother Clarence; brothers-in-law John Schill and Lorne Weber; sister-in-law Audrey (Harry) Hunt and parents Otto and Ottilia (nee Hinsperger) Grubb.
Gerald and Shirley retired from the family farm in Carrick and moved to Walkerton in 1999. Gerald was also employed at Union Carbide (Energizer) and retired in 1989 after 35 years of service.
A private family service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton at 11:00 a.m. and will be livestreamed through Gerald’s memorial page. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating.
Interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Carlsruhe.
