Gerald Gerry Richard 1950 2021

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing
of our brother Gerald “Gerry” Richard, 71, on August 24,
2021, born in Moncton, to the late Emery J. Richard and the late
Corinne McDonald.
He is survived by his sister, Annette Tweedie (Ed) of
Moncton; his brothers: Rod Richard (Jennifer) of Rexton, Ivan Richard
(Diane) of Five Islands, N.S., and Ronald Richard, of Moncton; his
nephew, Ryan Richard of Saint John; his nieces: Tami Richard (Scott)
and their daughter Michaela, of Halifax, N.S., Jillian Snider (James)
and their sons Noah and Luke, of Halifax, N.S., and Jill Richard of
St-Antoine.
Beside his parents, he was predeceased by nephew,
Stéphane Richard.
He will be deeply missed by his close friends at Sandy Beach
where he looked forward to spend his summers. Our thanks go to them
for their compassion and support through his illness. It was much
appreciated by us. He considered you all his family.
Our thanks go out also to his doctors and nurses in oncology
for their excellent care.
Family and friends are invited for a gathering at Frenette
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) for
a meet and greet on Saturday August 28 between 2 and 4 pm following by
a sharing of memories at 4 pm. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are
recommended and social distancing regulations are in effect. Interment
will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations can be made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital
Foundation (Oncology Dept.) or to a charity of the donor’s
choice would be appreciated.
