Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of a great man, Gerald (Gerry) Albert Boyd at the age of 75 on Thursday, October 14th, 2021. He battled hard against cancer and never let it keep him from doing what he loved.
Gerry was born May 26th 1946, in Rabbit Lake, SK to Earl and Violet Boyd. Gerry is lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Shirley; daughter, Melanie (Jeff)- Kieran, Kayleigh, Kendra; Son, Desmen (Michelle) – Payton and Gavin; sisters: Marlene Low, Audrey Boyd, Donna Littlemore (Charlie); sisters in-law: Martha (Pat) Hobbs; Patty (Carl) Sankey; Brenda (Brian) Byl- Jordan; brothers in-law: K.C. (Bonnie) Byl; Jim (Darlene) Byl numerous, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents: Violet (Blixrud) and W Earl Boyd; grandparents: Joseph & Mary Boyd; Chris & Dora Blixrud; mother and father-Law: Klaas and Hillievi Byl; brothers-in-law: William (Will) Low, Peter Gayowski, a niece and 3 nephews.
Due to Covid A Family Service will be held at the Robinhood Municipal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Medstead Central School Playground Fund.
