TIBBUTT, George Edward
Peacefully at home, Ed entered into the loving embrace of his Lord and Saviour, on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Ed Tibbutt, in his 95th year, beloved husband of 68 years to Shirley (nee Jarrell). Loving father of Lorie Meireles (late Tony), Brian and Chris (Patti). Affectionately known as “Grandpa” to grandchildren Brian (Katherine), Victoria, William, Lorie, Christopher and great-grandchildren Mariana, McKinley, Greyson and Noah. Predeceased by his siblings Ruth, Dalton and Joyce. Friends will be received at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Friday, December 3 between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Only those who wear masks and can provide proof of double vaccination and personal ID may attend the visitation.
Ed’s funeral will be held at Kingston Gospel Temple, 2295 Princess Street, on Saturday, December 4 at 1:30 pm. All are welcome to attend the funeral service provided that social distancing and wearing of masks be adhered to. Private interment to follow at Cataraqui Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Kingston Pregnancy Care Centre kingstonpcc.com/donate, or by cheque to Kingston Pregnancy Care Centre 231 – 120
