Obituary of George Bradley Thomas
Thomas, George Bradley “Brad”-, Age 60 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully, after a too-brief battle with Cancer, under the care of Dartmouth General Hospital on May 13, 2021.Born in St John, NB on June 28th 1960 he was a son of the late George and E Lillian (Gaddess) Thomas. Brad joined the Canadian Armed Forces on his 17th Birthday and served as Military Policeman, CFB Halifax. Upon leaving the Armed Forces he worked at Farnel Packaging Ltd. Then on to working as a Construction Labourer with many Companies in the Halifax Dartmouth Area. He was always a hard worker and well respected in his trade. Brads hobbies included wood working, fishing and camping and was known as a green thumb when it came to gardening. He especially loved casting a line and cracking a cold one sitting at his favourite fishing spot. Brad is survived by his children Katie (Jack) Thomas-Scrine, Carly & Jackson. His children were the most important part of his life and he loved them with all of his heart. He is also survived by brother John Morgan (Beverly) Thomas, Halifax and his wife Ivy Murphy-Thomas, Dartmouth. He also leaves to mourn his best friends Carleton Moore and Bill Parker. Cremation has taken place. A service and committal will be held at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
