Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of George Robert McCormick announce his tragic and unexpected passing on September 4, 2021. George was in his 61st year.
He will be lovingly missed by Cindy, his wife of 30 years and his 3 sons Travis (Sarah), Brad and Darryl, his sister Karen (Brian) and his Mother-in-Law Gail Archibald. He is pre-deceased by his parents Christian and John McCormick and his Father-in-Law Bill Archibald. He will also be greatly missed by his 3 grandchildren Johnathan, William and Gracie.
He was a mentor to many. He enjoyed fishing, hunting ATVing, FORD trucks, Coke not Pepsi and most importantly he loved his “Happy Place” up north. He also left behind a mountain of tools to his 3 sons the identification of which is yet to be determined.
His message to all would be: One of these Nights you will be able to embrace that Peaceful Easy Feeling, there will be no Wasted Time as in the Long Run you all have had the Best of My Love.
There will not be a service as George “hated” funerals but we encourage you to write a note of farewell or share a story of George. Donations may be made to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters in his memory.
