PURA, George
Gone to eternal rest, George passed away May 14, 2021 at the Westlock Continuing Care Centre.
George was born on August 16, 1928 on the family farm near Thorhild where he lived for over 90 years. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jennie (nee Grochmal) of 68 years; five children, Victoria (Alderic) Blower, Douglas (Laura) Pura, Sharon (John) Heidt, Paul (Gloria) Pura and Margaret (Perry) Prazak; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; brothers William and John; sisters Ann (Clarence) Rolls and Eva (John) Kordyban; numerous nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents Nick and Maria Pura.
The family would like to thank Dr. Keay and all the staff at the Westlock Continuing Care Centre for their kindness during George’s last days.
Due to the pandemic, a service for immediate family members will be held on June 26 at 10:00am. Extended family and friends will be able to access the service online via Westlock Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
