LEGGE, George – Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Friday, December 17, 2021, surrounded by his loving family George Legge of Mount Pearl, aged 84 years. Predeceased by parents James and Ethel Legge, brother Clarence and sister Maisie Warren all of New Perlican. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife of 61 years Nina Grace (Clarke), daughter Marie Dowden (Paul) sons William James (Jennifer) Grosse Pointe Shores MI, Robert George (Darlene Nash), grandchildren Amanda Seward (Curtis), Stephanie Legge (John Hyde), Anthony Legge, Aaron Dowden, Natalie Legge, Silas and Jonas Wooten and Aaron Nash, great-grandchildren Owen David Hyde, and Kanon and Kolton Seward. Also a large circle of extended family and friends. George worked as a machinist at the CN Railway for 35 years. He enjoyed a good game of cards with his many friends of both the Mount Pearl and Paradise seniors groups. You will be ever remembered and sadly missed. Rest In Peace Pop. A very special thank you to the staff of 7 West. You went above and beyond. Cremation has taken place. Visitation and funeral to be announced at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Barrett’s Funeral Home.
