George Ewart Vail March 8th 1931 November 10th 2021

Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Bluewater Health, George Ewart Vail passed away at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Cary) of 67 years. Loving father of Mike (late Heather) Vail, David (Wilma) Vail, Wayne Vail, Carol Vail (Brian Pennell), and Jason Vail. Remembered by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Howard (late Marilyn). Predeceased by his parents Vidal and Gladys, and by his siblings John (late Marion), Bessie (late Ed) Payne, and Virginia Menzies. George worked at Cabot Carbon for 36 years. He was an avid walker and enjoyed reading a good book. George loved sports, and especially loved Bobbie Orr from the Boston Bruins. He spent time travelling up North and out West. George will be remembered for having a great sense of humor and his ability to tell a great story. In keeping with George’s wishes, a private graveside will be held at Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sarnia & District Humane Society (cheques mailed to the funeral home or made online, please).
